Bandai's MG RX-78-2 Gundam Version 2.0 is an upgrade with today's MG standards in poseability and detailing! This much-anticipated offering is designed with amazingly accurate detailing and proportion to its TV counterpart in the 1979-80 "Mobile Suit Gundam" series. The snap-fit plastic parts come molded in color so no painting is necessary. A new inner frame was developed for this release, capable of striking more dynamic and realistic poses than an MG release ever could before! The transformable Core Fighter can be docked inside Gundam to become its cockpit, just like in the show. Gundam's movements are not restricted even when the Core Fighter is docked inside its torso, thanks to its ingeniously designed and intricately detailed inner frame! The Mobile Suit's armaments include a beam rifle with removable super napalm attachment, two beam sabers, shield, hyper bazooka, Gundam Hammer, and beam javelin. Marking stickers, foil stickers, and dry transfer stickers are included, along with three unpainted (molded in white) 1/100 figures of Amuro Ray, two standing (casual wear and pilot suit) and one sitting. A landmark in Bandai's MG kit history that's not to be missed!

      My first ever 2.0 kit

My first MG 2.0 and first ever kit of the OG Gundam. This build was very memorable as it was my first time building something with a core fighter that actually docks inside of the mobile suit. I was very impressed by the level of detail and moving parts of the inner frame while keeping a simple & anime accurate silhouette. Once built this is very sturdy and has many different weapons to pose this kit with. I would not recommend for beginners, but definitely if you have had a few kits under your belt.

      Bow to the Gran pappy

This kit is my definitive granddaddy master grade.

Not only is the build incredibly fun and impressive for its age, but the only master grade I would say is also better in almost every sense is the RX GTO. If you are looking for a master grade to build for the first time, I implore you to pick this wonderful mech.

      GUNDAMU!

Another great 2.0 kit. The proportions and design feel like they were taken right out of the anime. As cool as the newer designs for the RX-78-2 are, this one is definitely my favorite.

      Did not enjoy this build

I did not like this MG. I had constant issues, especially with the waist armor, parts falling off and not staying attached to the subframe. also the details on the panels are very minimal, good if you scribe, bad if you want it to look stellar as a straight build.

      classic master piece

It looks old fashioned style. Super simple design and completely opposite concept against RG or Ver 3.0 in terms of proportion and colors. But this is the real classic RX-78-2 which I saw in the anime. The frame cannot be comparable to other MGs or RG. Just beautiful.

This one push me to purchase PG, either unleased or old version, in future.
