Here it is, everyone’s favorite “isn’t that Zeon?” mobile suit, the Marasai! Straight from the arsenal of the questionable and faction-confused Titans, it has finally been released in HG. It features polycapped joints and translucent beam saber parts, so you get a good-looking and posable final product. It also comes with the beam rifle, so you can recreate many poses from Zeta Gundam. The kit is pre-colored and snap-together, so no paint or glue is required to complete it.

      I like smoked salmon

Like the looks and color of this thing. Very basic, with just a beam rifle and 2 beam sabers which can be stored (or fired) from the shoulder shield. I threw some gold (antenna and shoulder spikes), silver (piping joints), and chrome (thrusters), and matte coated it. It looks great! Almost looks like it's ready to take on my RG MK-II...it wishes.

      Love this little guy!

Had a bit of a Snafu while building. broke the connection point on the shoulder armor. nothing a little glue couldn't fix. Be careful while building it!

Has a major seam line in the middle of its face.

This kit looks good but the articulation is very limited and the biggest flaw that it has is the seam line down the middle of its face... it is irritating to see but its definitely a cute kit.

      cute Zaku

I love how many ways they can spruce up the zaku design. Though I think they could've done more with it.

Despite Getting on in Years, Still a Great Rendition of the Marasai

I really like the Marasai's design, it ranks up there with the Geara Doga as one of my favorites of the Zaku derivatives. This kit has no issue getting the basic design beats across, once it's assembled, it's definitely a Marasai, but there are a couple of bits that leave a little to be desired. The head in particular has a few strange design choices, the antenna for instance is made of a softer plastic, so while it lacks a safety flag, getting it into the receiving slot is a little difficult. The black under the eye is a sticker, and there's another sticker that goes in the gap in front of it that, try as I might, I could not get to sit properly, painting it is no issue, just figured I'd point it out, however, this all culminates in there being no movable mono-eye, just a sticker that you would need to move if you want the Marasai looking in a different direction. The lower part of the head is also made of two parts that attach along the Z-axis, so without any cement, there's a noticeable gap down the "snout". The kit also shows its age a bit in the way the joints are constructed, being single-jointed polycaps with plastic covers at the elbows, a single swivel at the waist, and ball joints at the hips. In spite of these "issues", the end product is still a nice looking kit, the red in particular surprising me in that it's not a standard red, but there is a slight hint of pink to it that makes it go really well with the orange, and the green hoses provide a nice pop against…
