      ??? The anti-Real Grade

For the question of "Why aren't HGs color accurate" and "why do so some HGs have so many color correcting decals", it's probably because they'd be closer to this price range if they were all as part-color-accurate like this.

HG Dragonar-1 is OOB plastic perfection, or as close to it as we're ever going to get. It has the color accuracy and inner frame of a RG, but without the tendencies of the Real Grade line for skinny proportions, overblown chiseled detail and an overabundance of decals. It's Okawara-reverent anime accuracy proportions, and not a single fugly seam line in sight. It's the anti-RG.

The only caveat is the price. You're getting a fully featured kit with a ton of weapons, but frankly the HG Moon Gundam comes at ~$5 less and trades a bit of color accuracy for an Action Base 5 to actually pose it on. And the RG RX-78-2 is (reportedly) one flimsy thing but it more or less does that AND gives you a detachable core fighter. The MG Crossbone Fullcloth for just $7 more on GP gives you a larger kit, actual clear head parts for LEDheads, detachable core fighter, and its own arsenal of 1/100 scale effects parts and accessories.

Now there are more or less 2 camps, here, one that was going to get hyped to see Dragonar-1 in plamo format, and those that aren't. The former half doesn't need my recommendation because they were gonna get it anyway, and they'll be pleased to know that the leg and shoulder armor colors weren't stickers after all.

      But the latter camp's…
