Lots of Bang for the Buck

I am not a fan of the RX-0. But in Unicorn, this is my favorite unit. For the price it gives so much more. There is even space in the head to add a light and illuminate the eyes which gives it great visual pop. I have it next to its predecessor the RGM-89 Jegan. Hopefully in the future they make a kit for the Jesta Cannon or an upgrade kit.

      Big Hands Beware

Loved building this kit. Going to be my first custom paint.

Design is cool. I really like designs that feel more utilitarian vs. more bombastic design.

The hands were a little finicky but once I had them set up they were good to go.

Main issue I had was a few pieces felt very brittle, especially the chest area. I snapped a piece and was able to glue and sand it nicely, but as I said the part felt more brittle than the hg kits I've worked on and my prior mg.

Could also be my sasquatch hands?

Good model, a bit lacking in some parts.

As cool as it looks, I have a few problems with it. The plastic on large, flat parts, (such as the shield and part of the shoulder) has a miscasted appearance to it, which makes it look odd unless you painted over it.

The joint that connects the shield arm to the backpack is also very weak, and I ended up having to use glue to keep it in place. (laugh all you want, it works.)

There's also much less articulation that I expected for a MG, no thigh swivel and the ankles are limited.

Overall, the kit looks great and it's a fun build, that looks even better when you add stickers.

      A militaristic GM-type.

The GM is always a little cheery no matter what setting it's in, with its stark white paint and bright accent colors - not the Jesta. The Jesta is a sleek black with dark blue-green accents, perfectly disguised against, say, the void of space. It really is the GM-type perfected, in a way, with the shield mounted on a movable arm attached to the backpack to keep both hands free, and a bunch of extra ammo stuck onto the back of one of the forearms. Okay, maybe that's a bit of an overstatement, but it's still just so damn cool. The fancy Zeon prototypes and Federation Gundams will have their fun, but it's hard not to appreciate a good grunt suit. And if you don't like grunt suits, then... like, why tho?

      JESTER

The design is quite good and as a introduction to MGs it was a rather satisfying build. The only problem is the finger joints how easy they dislocate and then how hard they are to put back in.
