Gundam Exia is the mobile suit piloted by protagonist Setsuna F Seiei during the first series of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Exia is the first Gundam to appear in the series as it overpowers and destroys the AEU's latest mobile suit, the Enact, during a public demonstration of the Enact's capabilities. Designed for melee combat, Exia's primary weapon is a massive metal blade mounted on its right forearm, which can be folded down to reveal a beam gun. Additional handheld swords, beam blades, and shield complement Exia's armament. All of these deadly weapons are of course included so you can recreate all the scenes from the anime! Exia was designed to be slim and aesthetically appealing, and this model doesn’t disappoint; it’s definitely one to display on the mantle!

Flawed, but I wanted an Exia.

Bought it in person last week. I ignored what I had heard about its painpoints, but I can confirm the critiques are not unfounded. The build is not very fun after you finish the head and torso. I kinda just wanted to be done with this thing. Once you get it together, yes it does indeed have joints that are both fragile and not very capable in supporting its own weight. Interesting for a kit thats not on the heavy side. Equally, for a suit that looks like it is so dynamic its has some fairly limited articulation in the torso, neck, and shoulders. Still looks cool though, and I was able to get my hands on some dual green LEDs. I think it will paint up nicely if I ever decide to do so.

Slightly weak ankles, overall very good.

So I'm a sucker for Gundam 00, given that it's one of the only series I've actually watched and the MG Exia is a very nice kit. Build was a little finnicky in one or two spots but overall nothing was too difficult. Very good articulation, I always appreciate kits with a toe bend.

      Accessories Somewhat Hold It Back

I like this kit a lot but the only issue I have with it is that the accessories. The biggest offender of this is the gun. The gun has issues staying in the hand and does not fit in the lower-arm slot, so it is mostly rendered unusable.

      Fun Build.

Bought this so I could have the parts for exia along with my exia ignition. Hands are bad but other than that it was fun
