During the First Earth/ZAFT War, the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam proves its versatility thanks to the use of its interchangeable Striker packs. After the war, Actaeon Industries upgrades a Strike Gundam to the GAT-X105E Strike E (E meaning enhanced). The new Strike E features several changes from the original design. Unlike the original, the Strike E is equipped with color changing Variable Phase Shift (VPS) armor, as well as an enhanced power unit. The original's armaments have also been replaced, as the Strike E features new CIWS guns, as well as four rocket anchors mounted in the hands and feet. The hip-mounted Armor Schneider combat knives have been replaced with a pair of "Shorty" beam rifles. Like the original Strike Gundam, the Strike E is capable of using Striker packs, although it is usually equipped as the GAT-X105E+AQM/E-X09S Strike Noir in combat.

      Best strike gundam there is

This is the best strike gundam you can buy. With all the weapons that is has it’s insane, two short beam rifles “pistols”, two regular sized beam rifles, the noir backpack is crazy cool, and then the grappling hook things what gundam has grappling hooks this one because it’s that badass plus the color scheme screams I’m hear to kick ass and chew bubblegum and I’m all out of bubblegum.

      Fun but dated

The Strike Noir is really fun design - but it's also a 2007, pre-Aile Strike RM edition Seed master grade kit. Given its age, be prepared to put in small screws in the shoulders. They're not bad, but be aware. The rifles are pretty good, but oddly enough, the handguns are molded in a blue/purple/grey plastic which is completely off from what you see on the box. There are minimal foil stickers, and the dry transfer decals are pretty good, but because it's black Bandai plastic, the marking decals are going to look good enough ... from afar. Up close, it's always a case of blegh. Just keep in mind that you're gonna have to put a little love into this kit.

My first MG build and my favorite kit.

This kits is was my first Gundam kit bought and built. This is a must have. The panel lines are subtle yet snappy. The wings are very cool. There is a lot of weapons and poses to play with. My favorite feature are the hip mounted beam weapons and wing mounted swords. The wing pack is a little limited in movement, but the weight is rather balanced allowing for poses with or without a display stand. This is an excellent kit for both first time and/or experienced builders alike.

      backpack kinda annoying

the design is great but the backpack is very annoying, it has a weird design in terms of how its put together/ held together and the swords get loose very easily. also not a fan of the blue grey plastic bandai uses for the pistols and other parts

I was so happy when I was able to acquire this model, I enjoyed building it. Can't wait to get the rest of the models that are in this series.
