A trooper that other would envy

Maybe one of my favorite grunt suits of all time. The detail of the kit overall just makes it a great kit to build and display. Get a lil paint and do up the interiors of the shoulder and leg thrusters to make this suit pop.

      Old yet solid

A bit of an old kit so if you expect today's kit's articulations its not that great, but it is still up there. A solid line of suit prior to the geara zulu, so you can see the relevance of the suit design. I got one to make a custom sleeves version, which is literally just adding a sleeve. Backpack is same as geara zulu so you can use the rifle from Angelo Sauper's geara zulu on this too to recreate the MSV geara doga.

Color on my kit was off.

I bought one of these kits many years ago around 2013. The kits was great bought back memories of the Geara Doga action figure I had when Char's Counterattack first released. However the kit I received had darker colors more akin to the later Geara Zulu color scheme used by the Sleeves. So its possible to re-purpose the kit as a Sleeves Geara Doga, which is canon.

So I was a bit disappointed because I was looking for the original paint scheme. I'm hoping Bandai corrected this issue in later kits because I hope to pick up another if they ever comeback in stock.

      Iconic Zeon at its Best

Char's Counterattack is one of my favorite Gundam movies and all of the suits from that movie are real well designed in my opinion. That being said, the HG kits are definitely worth purchasing. Even if they are older HG kits, they are still really fun to build and pose. The Geara Zulu is a really good example of Zeon grunt suits and this kit does a good job rendering the anime into real life.
